Are there two different versions of this grip? Can this be mounted from the side vice underneath? (i.e.) Are there screws on the other side of the grip?

You can mount it anywhere there is a hole. MOE handguards, most quad rails, Keymod slots, etc. You use a screwdriver going from the bottom of the grip and then tighten the screw with the plate it threads into on the other side of the surface. It is NOT rail mounted.
