The High Road was having a paper plate contest for milsurp. This i can do. So i went out to Tri-County Gun Club (in Tigard) for the first time since i joined. Nice place, nice people, nice ranges; i think i'm going to like it there.

Anyway, i shot the best ever with my M39 (open iron sights). 100 yards, 5 shots, 2 1/4 inch spread. I am so proud of myself!

I have a 1942 VKT built on a 1910 Izhevsk receiver. About as common as they come. Came with a mirror bore. As far as i know, they all shoot well. In fact, that's what they are famous for.

Bought it from <broken link removed>
