M1 Garand Match this Saturday

Douglas Ridge Rifle club Garand match this Saturday. If you don't have a M-1 no
problem the club has loaner rifles. Also 30/06 surplus ammo for sale. They loan
you a shooting mat and spotting scope. New shooters welcome. Great bunch of
guys and gals. Don't be afraid of the "Match" word. Come out and have some fun

Great. If you have never shot the M-1 they would like you to take the class Friday
night before the match. It is free with the price of admission to the match.
You will learn the positions and how to use a sling. This match is a 100 yard match.
Later on this year they will conduct 2 'Across the Course" matches. 200-300-600 yards.
