First off, this is not an off body carry debate thread or, I'm to macho for a Murse thread! Do that in your own thread! This is simply a product recommendation for those, who like me, find it hard to EDC during warmer weather.

I just received my sling bag for use during this warmer weather. I love to just throw on a t-shirt and light shorts and most often, carrying my EDC is difficult to say the least. So, from a recommendation, I ordered this bag from Amazon yesterday and received it today.

First impression is that it is well made and robust! All zippers functioned without hiccup and there are no fraying strands to be noted. I adjusted the supplied holster and it works great for my P365XL setup. Trigger guard is covered and after adjusting bag for fit, I found it quite speedy to pull the firearm if it is ever needed. No hangups and I can see lots of summer days carrying this way! 😁 I'll do an end of summer review after using it, but at this point, I'd recommend it. It is a really nice size and will carry everything I need for a day out. Not a bad investment @ $30 IMHO.

Not gunna dig on the cross body bag. But if you're interested you should check out the Hunter Constantine EDC belt. I use it in when wearing board shorts, athletic shorts or clothes without belt loops. It can also be used with jeans. If you wanted an option to carry on body.

The Phlster enigma may be worth looking at as well. Just options!

I tried the bag thing and was not a fan of having to be tethered to the bag. Or its signature to the world. If I were to set the bag down or remove it from my person I would loose the control of my pistol. Plus I sweat like crazy and having the bag against my chest just creates more discomfort.

With that being said my wife carries in a cross body bag when she goes out and prefers that method of carry. It allows her to carry a bigger gun that she can shoot well without compromising concealment. Cause there is no way she is carry a G19 IWB and she doesn't have the strength to shoot the micros which creates malfunctions.

Hopefully that gun is sitting in Kydex protecting the trigger guard. Hope it works for you!

I really like that. I wonder if they have one that will fit my 2 1/4 or 2 3/4, I can't remember, Colt Python. But that would be great for carry this summer

Nothing about it screams tactical and here in Corvallis (college town) sling bags, packs and all other methods of carry are common place. I never get a second look at any of the things I tote around. I purposely got the one without the front hook/loop panel so as not to be tempted to put some kind of patch on it.

At 30 bucks, what was the brand and model? I might pick one up for my G19 and Ruger RXM, and G 19X.

Hey, you be you
I would think it's like wearing a belt and holster but more comfortable… just don't take it off and leave it in the outhouse 🙄
Hope it works to your expectations, now ….

Does it come in something that's a bit more "Summery"? Y'know… Like, maybe Hawaiian shirt patterns ? :s0155:

Uuuhhh….Asking for a friend

IMO the hot pull tab (as shown in the OP photo) is the critical and necessary feature of these bags. One pull to get everything out of the way so you can draw. Similar to getting your clothing out of the way when you draw from a belt. Example with a larger gun:

I have never found sling bags to be very comfortable. They tend to ride up on my neck rather than keeping the weight on my shoulder. How is this one for comfort?

I guess it's because I carry a gun daily that when I see certain individuals carrying sling bags I automatically assume they have a gun. Yours doesn't look too tactical which definitely helps as well as the environment you're in. Depending on how someone holds themselves and dresses can be a determining factor as well. Start adding all the elements together. As long as you aren't wearing grunt style t shirts and Solomon shoes with tactical pants I think everything will be ok! Haha.

I do think it would be ideal for driving or riding.

So far, where it is wider at the shoulder area, it rides well. Again, will give an up dated report at end of summer. :s0155:

Yeah, that would defeat the purpose of having the bag not look tactical .😂
does it rub at all
Just got it today so, not that I can tell. Give me a spell using it and I'll report back.
