I have no info except what is on the gun. I know it is a 22 and when my dad sold his pickup truck in the mid 80's the bolt was in the glove box.

Fast forward to a couple years ago, my dad has passed away and he stated that this rifle was very special to him. I want to simply put it on my wall, but would love to find a bolt that fits it (not going to shoot it).

WardsWesternField on the left side of the barrel where the bolt is
The word SAFE with a 3 feathered arrow forward through it on the right.

22 short long or long rifle in front of the rear site on the left side.

A lot of these old .22s were made by big name brands, such as "Savage" for other stores. like Wards, to sell. I have a Savage made "For Gamble's Stores" on the barrel. As far as I know, it's the same quality. Could be a great shooter. and there are probably parts available if needed.

Yep, Savage made. Same safety as mine. And it is a great shooter

Mine says "PIONEER Gambles Stores Incorporated, model 26"

Got a savage model number by chance?

Parts like that show up on eBay, search for "westernfield .22 bolt". Good luck.
^^^ smart man! :D

IF it is the same as mine. This is the bold I have in mine...

Should you want to see if my bolt fits your rifle. You're welcome to.

Try Numeric they also have helpful customer service if you can't find it on their charts.
Also Jack First in Rapid City SD they too have helpful and friendly folks there.

Here are a couple of collections of images of Wards Western Field 22lr bolt actions. There aren't too many with tube magazines. Maybe you can find something that looks like yours.

In all likelihood, this is a rifle manufactured by Mossberg for Wards Western Field. The rifle is a variant of the Mossberg Model 45 and probably was a Mossberg/Wards Model 47.
My research shows the following, "Pretty rare, very hard to come by, the Wards western field (NO.47) tube fed .22 bolt action rifle was only made for two years 1933/1935.GREAT rifle, takes s,l,lr,(parts)cross refs with the mossberg 45a/45c. Value of the NO.47 could bring 180 to 450,an up depending on condition, and, to the right collector a great shooter, a really great find!"
