Before I order some online I wanted to see if anyone had some locally I could buy from them. Looking for a good 257 roberts hunting round. Don't need a lot.
Let me know what you got! Thanks!

I have had trouble finding 257 roberts cases so I have gone to necking up 6mm remington cases. 257 roberts should be more popular than it is. None of the 25 caliber cartridges are.

I have been case forming from 270 win brass to 6mm rem with success. I size to a 27/57 case (I know it sounds oddball) then outside neck turn & trim to length and anneal. You can then run the cases though 257 rbts or 6mm rem dies without worrying about neck donuts. Note that 6mm rem has a different shoulder angle than 257-7X57 brass no problem tho as the reformed brass has proper 257 shoulder angle to start with. I have currently approx 170 cases formed if interested at a fair price if interested. Ph; 360-936-5309

Appreciate that and I'll keep it in mind. I was able to source some locally so I'm good at the moment. Thanks!

The Roberts is a necked down 7mm Mauser. That brass is easy to find and you simply run them through your .257 size die and be done with it.

No annealing, neck reaaming, or anything else is necessary.

Mauser brass is plenty strong enough to handle Roberts +P loads.

The Roberts is a well balanced cartridge that does everything the .243 Winchester does, and does it better!
