Some people are big mad, but they argued they wanted "change" while still being in control. So, Trump says things but a lot of people can still remember recent history. The actions of politicians speak louder than their words.

Fancy words don't "trump" the people that lost their business, jobs or homes over the last 4 years. Watching billions of tax dollars leaving the country while one time $750 checks are reluctantly given to American disaster victims.

The election results show people are tired of an administration that is telling the population what to think, how to feel and how to raise their children. So, are you mad at what Trump says or the people that couldn't beat his language.

Let me make the choice clearer.

One party explicitly has destruction of the 2A and abolition of firearms as a plank in its party platform. It commands and demands that all officials under its banner serve that cause unless and until given a permission-slip by their Party overlords.

The other party is a crap-shoot. On paper it supports the 2A but it does not enforce Party Discipline, leaving members to vote their own way with the consequences to be decided by the voters. (Again, on paper, there is still some leverage with "vote our way on this bill or we spike one of yours" and denial of Party campaign funds, but the difference is like Schoolmarm's Ruler vs Darth Vader's Grip.)

Which side seems less likely to give you a bad deal and more likely to give you a good one, from a gun rights standpoint?

Hopefully Trump has the ATF/DOJ reverse their regulations on gun selling activities, receiver definitions, etc. He should also order the Fed attys not to defend any 2A courts cases or appeal any wins we get in the courts.

I am not holding my breath though.

Unf, a win at any level below SCOTUS allowed to stand is only applicable in that District or Circuit. We NEED these things pushed to SCOTUS as fast as possible while we have a relatively friendly Court.

Hopefully we'll see more funding for mental health facilities. Bring back some giant nets and get dangerous people off the streets.

That would go a long way to fix some of 2A biggest problems.
