I almost tipped over my buddy's table at the crappy Portland Show when a young man walked by with it for sale.

For plinking/practical purposes? .357, cheaper than .44 to buy and allows more practice. Bonus is that .38 specials are really fun to shoot from a rifle!

Hunting? depending on the game, .44 mag could be just the ticket. revolvers in .44 are fairly common to boot.
