- has been leaning against a wall for about 40 years
- 9 lug ported bolt very strong and safe

Check truegunvalue.com. It I showed $1,436.00 average used selling price over the last 12 months. So, discounting for the fact that the buyer must replace the stock, $1,000 seems reasonable in my opinion.

How bad is the stock?

It is broken all the way through. I glued it but could not close the gap completely. It feels very strong. But that rifle really kicks.
