Here's an update.
I decided that I would send the gun back to Kimber and just see what they would do. Kind of see if they can have a second shot at making a gun that has the quality that they claim that they do. Because of them using FedEx I was only able to give it to my FFL to send it back.
When I talked to somebody that claimed they were the head of customer service department she eventually said "for your trouble will give you an extra magazine." Most companies do that just for the sake of the customer having to go out of their way to get a new gun fixed. So I got the mag and it was an 18-rounder. Two weeks later they've got the gun back in the mail. Yesterday I picked it up from my FFL, brought it home and had to clean the gun as it was covered in some oil. I mean covered. I had to wipe it down at my FFL just to put my hands on it. I shot the free mag that they gave me and it refused to load. I had to slingshot EVERY round. This was just using magtag 180 range ammo. This morning I called them and the customer service rep made a big point out of telling me that what they did with the slide was a courtesy. That the gun was functional and that they were under no obligation to do anymore but that they did it as a courtesy. When I complained about the mag, he said that's a free mag and there's no warranty on it. WTF??? He told me that it was up to me to live with it and fix it and that they would do nothing for the mag.
Kimber is the worst Gun Company I have ever dealt with. Even Taurus has better customer service than Kimber.

I hope that you don't raise kids with that attitude.
Cut your losses cuz it's easier?
That's the problem with our society today.

I'll shoot the snot out of it and hold them accountable if something screws up. And I'll show everyone how they treat their customer.

Once Ron Cohen touches something there is no going back.
Ya...

Everybody made a big deal about kimber moving to Alabama and how much better it will be. Those people down there don't give a flying fazuli about their product.
When your current advertising model is to tell people that "yeah we were screwed up before but now we're better", then you have problems.

You like being upset don't you?
