Hey all I've had a kp15 lower I put together a while back and never did anything with. I'm just curious what every who has one has done with theirs. Did you go as lightweight as you could? did you put together a cookie cutter ar? do you think they're dumb and ar lowers should only be aluminum? I'm not super original with project ideas, so if you were putting together a rifle with one what would you do with it? Thanks!

I did something like this^^ (post 2) in 6.5 Grendel. Ended up selling or trading before I shot it though.

I'd do a light weight WWSD, pencil barrel, CF hand guard, and T2 dot or a 3x PA micro prism and an A2 flash hider and call it good.

I'm currently torn between 6arc and 6.5 Grendel for for another project I wanna start, to many projects not enough time!

I did a basic lightish weight build, 16" pencil barrel, aluminum free float, flash can, LPVO. I like it, it's the most practical rifle I own.

I also have a takedown KP9 I built with a BCA upper, and tube handguard, I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

I've had my KP-15 for a good while. I replaced the trigger with LaRue MBT-2S and added an IWI based upper with LPVO. I really hope we'll get soon some freedom to put shorter barrels on without all the BS. I'd love to throw there some mid-profile 10.5"-12" barrel instead of the current 16". That would make this build perfect.
