It is for sure. There is some pitting under the wood and I recently restocked it. The wood was rotten in areas but kept the pieces of stock. Wherever it went it saw action but was poorly maintained. To keep it functional I had to get it out of the old stock and clean the pitting underneath.

I haven't shot it. Bolt face looks good and bore is good though. I am restocking it now and have not had a chance to check headspace.

I have to update the pics. The old stock pretty much rotted off. I still have it but it is in pieces. The new stock looks great on it.

That's a shame. A lot of the desirability of these exists in the stocks. Head stamps are important too. Many have a Magen David or chrysanthemum. Maybe I'll run across one again some day when I'm a little more flush.

That's too bad... I was wondering how that conversation turned out. Ive got a beutiful stock, all the furniture, and a new ('67) israeli barrel... Just looking for an action to get it on line....
