I just finished making these walnut grips for my 1911. There is a cutout for the mag release and finished with tung oil.



Maybe I'll make a set for another pistol.

Very nice and thanks for sharing!

In my other life, many years ago, I used tung oil on some home made oak, maple, cherry and black walnut tables and benches and the finish held up really well.
