Just an FYI: the JC Higgins model 20 was actually made for Sears, by High Standard, and is the same gun as the High Standard model 200. They were a good gun made by a solid company.

If you want a fun project, a mossberg 500 8-round tube will fit this. It's a spring assisted pump, order the spring from numrich, measure the position of the spring off the original tube, braze or soldier the new spring onto the mossberg tube in the appropriate place, and install. Bam. The finish won't match, but you'll have a solid HD pump, especially if you feel inclined to cut the barrel flush to the end of the mag tube.
