Hi,

I recently purchased a few Motorola radios secondhand. I would prefer not to go through the rigmarole of requesting access and signing up for MotoTRBO CPS 2.0. Does anyone have the software to program these radios locally? I'm in the Portland area, but willing to drive and am happy to pay for your services.

Thanks!

Ok so essentially 2 meter and 70 cm.

I would think you could find manuals on line for them and learn to program them manually.

Not hard to do. I have a few Baofeng UV 5Rs that I can easily program manually.

It was a bit frustrating at first, being the Baofeng manuals are all but useless but I found some good YT sites that were helpful but being yours are Motorola I can't help but believe you can find good info online.

These models have no button interface, they have to be programmed via software unfortunately.

That sucks! I would never own a radio I could not hand program, but I am a HAM operator so most of the radios designed for HAM users are hand programmable.
Yeah I agree, these are really designed for commercial use (which is what we would use them for too). When you're giving them to people that aren't familiar with operating HT's it's helpful to have it be super simple
