Are people still doing this? Appears more of an education is in order.

What's the chance that the right round that you think you'll need for a specific situation will chamber at the right time....please stop.

From the crowd that brought us , " green tip 5.56 and aim for the engine block" .
I wonder if that guy puts a tracer in his carry mags . Every 4 or 5 round, to see where he's shooting.

I bet he layers his ketchup and mayo in a single bottle just in case one day he has french fries and the next day he has a heart attack.

I had a guy ask for less than lethal ammo at the Roseburg gun show. Said he wanted that for the first round in his self defense hand gun. I said so you want to make him really mad at you first before you shoot him with the real McCoy. Pointing a gun at somebody and pulling the trigger is still use of deadly force even with less than lethal ammo.

Anyone who ever practiced with different types of ammo or even watched a Paul Harrell presentation, which clearly demonstrated the potential shift in point of impact of different ammunitions, would not do that.

What I do is load every single bullet in the magazine with a different brand, weight, type etc. That way if one doesnt work another one will...
Really throws the bad guys for a loop too.

During ammo shortages you have to make do with what you have. When I was new and didn't know better, I was buying a box at a time. I was short more than once. I wouldn't stagger though.

Wow I hope nobody is doing that. But all it takes in one YouTube yahoo to say "you should be doing this" so he can get views, and it will spread among the ignorant.

This seems to be coming up here and there again. Had not heard much of it in a long time. I used to hear it a LOT in the early days of the net but with mouse guns. People who were trying to get the most out of the little pistols loading HP and ball staggered. I had tried it for a short time and gave up. Ammo has come a LONG way since then but back then I could see no point. The HP ammo of the day did not seem to do much anything coming out of the little guns so could see no point. In larger caliber not really sure what it is people are loading ball for. As in what are they hoping to shoot through??
As for the point of impact vs point of aim maybe its just me. I have never been able to see any difference in my pistols when I shoot ball ammo I buy in case lots for practice and the good stuff I buy for carry. This is me shooting at from 25 ft to 50ft so that may have a lot to do with it. If I was to try from a bench at several times that distance I suppose I might see what I keep hearing but I seldom get to practice at that kind of range.
