It's a Gen 2. Post the letter prefix on the serial number and I should
be able to tell you the year of manufacture.

I've got more than a few Glocks--and actually prefer the Gen 2 grip to
the Gen 3's.
 
Gen 1 in that link looks like the grip is all one texture and wraps around the whole grip, if you look at gen 2 is looks like the one you have posted here, where the textured part is in sections, if that makes sense
 
IMHO the Generation 2 grip is the most useful, because it allows the use of a slip-on grip sleeve like the Hogue Handall. This adds slight palm-swells and finger grooves, and subltly alters the Glock grip angle that many folks hate and makes it feel more like a CZ75---much more comfortable and natural. Gen 2 is great and I'd buy it! If you take it to a Glock Factory Armorer it is likely that they will completely update it with new parts......for free..........................elsullo
