Iran shoots down U.S. military drone in Gulf region
My take...
1) The sanctions are hurting the Iranian people
2) My guess is that the Iranian people are getting fed up with their leadership
They know that they could be having better lives
3) The Ayatollahs need to get their subjects back in line and goading the US into a war would be just thing that would do it
4) The hard part is going to be not falling for it while not looking weak
(Kim is watching with much interest)
Maybe we need ramp up patrols/escorts and smoke a few Revolutionary Guard speed boats as needed ?
5) Whatever we do, our leadership needs to separate the Iranian leadership from the Iranian people.
Smart speech writing and smart actions.
The Strait of Hormuz is a choke point where if this goes hot, all ship travel through it would be stopped.
Not good for business.
