iPhone connection issues

Need help.
My iPhone plugs into my 2010 tundras USB port. It seemed to have issues at times losing connection. Now it's a lot.
Any tech dudes out there?

Cable #1 culprit for bad connections with iPhones. They wear bad at the phone end.

Check for an update on your radios software. Not sure if those do it but there could be a software incompatibility.

This one works:

I have another that looks new and has intermittent issues.

I honestly believe that Apple builds their cables to defective standards.

And I have a half drawer full that verify that ! ! !

The Lightening Plug is the cheapest design I have seen, they could have done a "custom" off of the USB Micro type, and been better off, the need to Physically support as Well as Electrically Connect are BOTH Needed.

The lightening plug, with ZERO mechanical support (insurance) was an accident waiting to happen.

Regular USB is a Metal Construction Mating a Metal Construction, with Internal Electrical Connections, much better, and just ZIP increased Cost to MFG.
