Hey Gang,
If you had an extra $5000 to invest in stocks, where would you put it?
Just to be clear about this..
I'm already well diverse in other investments.. real estate, precious metals, 401K, cash, etc etc.
My "slow and steady" investments are doing well, but now I'm wanting to have some fun with something else.
This is just an extra $5000 that if I lose it, it won't put me in any strain/stress.
With that being said, I hope NOT to lose it, hahaha.
I'm not looking for intense day trading, but more of maybe weekly trading.

Anyone else out here doing the same or watching any individual stocks?

Apple.

Edit: Just read the rest of your post. I'm in it for the long haul. Not to get a rush, or lose my money.

This whole Bitcoin/Gamestop has been on my mind for awhile.

You should open up a Coinbase account next.

Nice thing about crypto, you don't have to go all in on a single stock since they sell portions.
Also remember that crytpo runs in cycles with giant swings, so if you invest it's best not to look at it too much. Although the swings are getting smaller over time and the cycles are tightening up.

I'm a fan of coca cola. No, it's not high earning but it's stable and has an ever increasing dividend. What a boring choice

I'm liking this.. something different.
Thanks for the info!

We dump as much as we can every year into 401K, compounding interest and gains of 6% average every year makes a good long term investment. Retirement will be interest only spending at 2x our current income.

N/P - a buddy of mine who's been heavy into crypto for quite a few years sent me these to peruse. The first one is long, so have nothing to do while listening:

Im watching for the new ETF ARKX. Or for something a bit more crazy, the GME saga might be wrapping up on the 19th of this month. Some are still betting on around a $4-500 high again.

Probably an S&P 500 ETF fund.

Note: Nothing I've said should be considered financial advice. I am NOT an investment/financial planner. I didn't even stay at a Holiday in last night. I'm just some guy...on the internet. And my advice is worth exactly what you paid for it. :)

Coke has been in the news lately:

I know. It's ridiculous. My statement stands that as an investment, I like them.

My GME gains from buying 3 weeks ago are absolutely bonkers. Bought at $40 a share, it's at $224 after hours right now. Watching the market closely today and will probably sell when it hits $300, which should be today. Have a sell limit order for $400 just in case it reaches it. WSB on Reddit has been a literal goldmine.

Long term I'm heavily invested in tsnpd and orvrf.

The coinbase IPO is coming up, too. Roblox IPO is 3/10 as a direct listing around $45/share. I've got money set aside to buy at open and will set a sell limit order at $90 to see if I can ride the wave the first day. Ticker symbol is RBLX.
