Does anyone know who the stag arms dealer is that frequents the portland gun show? I saw him at the December show, he was just left of the doors when you walked in, and had a horizontal gun rack of stag ar's that said stag all over it. I forgot to grab a card and I lost my old one. Sigh.:(

I appreciate the link, I looked through there earlier and nothing was ringing a bell as far as a dealer name. All I remember is the guy was wearing glasses....

If you're talking far left, against the wall, just inside the doors, that's always Northwest Armory.

I didn't think it was nw armory, but it was on the far left. Go in through the door, turn left, and he was the last table against the wall to the left. He only had a couple of tables which makes me think it wasn't nw armory. His business cards had the stag logo on them.

If you're stuck on getting a Stag it may be a good idea to get it soon. Business as usual for now but that could change after their visit from the BATFE

I think it's J&B firearms with all the Stag stuff.
You know, I'm not sure. I'm going to have to call and find out.

That's the reason I'm looking for him. A buddy called me today and told me of their troubles and told me I need to step it up on getting one. I wasn't planning on getting one this soon but... And it's not really that I'm stuck on stag actually, I just thought they were well made and come in a lefty.;)

Call Northwest Armory, they should be able to tell you who was next to them?.
That's a good idea.

Or the Expo Center.
That's a good idea too, I never thought of that.

Wow and I thought of saying this as well says allot for the company around these parts.;)
And this is the people with guns.....lol!:D

I am left-handed and have always suggested getting a Colt or BCM and installing ambidextrous controls instead of getting a left-handed AR, that goes double now that there is a possibility of them going under.
In the back of my mind I questioned getting a rifle from a company with the possibility of going under, but for the most part aren't these guns interchangeable where you can take parts from one and stick it on another? And I have to ask, how much is a colt? And ain't it fun being a southpaw? You should see me pick out a set of golf clubs...;)

Not the BCG, which is the heart of the rifle, or the upper receiver. I'm not sure about the forward assist and ejection port cover.

Before the lasted rush a 6720 was $800 and a 6920 was $850 plus shipping and transfer fees, or you could get an OEM1/2 for $725 and then the furniture your choice. Then what ever ambi controls you wanted.

With ARs it doesn't bother me a bit, in fact I prefer having the ejection port on the right sight for quick visuals of the BCG/chamber. There a plethora of quality ambi parts out there these days for ARs like Raptor Charging Handles, AXTS or Battlearms Selectors, Norgon, Troy, KAC mag releases. I also like the Forward Controls Design bolt catch and rimless forward assist.
Well you given me something to think about. I'm going to January's show to check things out and see what I can find. I don't really mind right handed as long as I don't have to eat brass, I'm just tired of compromising. Even my 10/22 I'm building has to be built with a right hander in mind just so they can shoot it. It gets a little old. I did a quick search of the Colts you recommended, I like them but you were right, since the last price surge they are around $900-$1k now. As much as I would like a colt...

Sent you a message kowboy
Got it.:s0155:
