Hi, I am Thomas. Came from Austria about 21 years ago. Immigrated to the USA mid 90's; won the Perm. Residency in the Visa Diversity Lottery Program together with my wife. I was in the Austrian Military for a year (mandated there). Then wanted to start a business and was requested to ask my competition for permission before issuing a business permit. So,... I am in the USA. And I didn't come to watch our freedom and liberties being taken little by little and be leaps. I am a supporter of religious freedom and the philosophy that the PEOPLE must reign and have the right to bear arms as a leverage to all just and moral liberties on which our US Constitution and its amendments are founded on.

My wife and I have a business...working at home, selling OmniBlender Smoothie Machines with 3 hp motors. Our competitor, a multi billion dollar company sued us last year for 'unfair competition'. Go figure. I pride myself to be very competitive. And I can't some corporate, price-fixing, monopolizing, free-enterprize destroyer just bully small companies out of business. So we fought back and here we are with a Court Consent Judgement that they are not permitted to sue us for our blender ever again... Therefore, I support that freedom is not free. You have the freedom to fight for it. And that is the bases of the American freedom that I love so much.

Regarding shooting, I used to work for Robinson Arms in Salt Lake City (CRX, M96, VEPR...). My wife went into a different direction. Then, about 12 years ago, I was into arms big time. I am getting back into it because I don't see how we, as a world and a nation will be able to keep relying on safety provided by law enforcement. At least, I think, that arms keep the value pretty good during inflationary episodes, so does gold, silver, agricultural land, and seeds and water resources and other utility projects...not that I am actually involved in every one of those. I wish I could. The idea is there. But for now, I am just a prepper with a 72 hour emergency kit a couple guns, some ammo and some... living in Utah.

Forgive me that I am not in the true North West. Utah is almost in the Northwest, at least the norther area of Utah... just about 14 hours away from Portland Oregon.

My objective here in this forum is to make alike-thinking acquaintances, learn about diverse firearm buildups and versions, and applications. I am hoping to make friends and form alliance that could at one time perhaps lead to a meeting in person, i.e. a well organized shooting competition, and lots of fun.

IMG_1253 b.JPG I have a family, meaning a wife IMG_0818-2.jpg , who does not like guns, she respects them, and she lets me show her and teach her, but she does not want to touch them...which is better anyway. And then my daughter, growing, currently 8, my nephew 14, who wants to learn gun safety, and my in-law- parents in law - who don't like anything I like. And then I have a great Nova Scotia Duck Toller / Retreiver . She saved us already twice. Once she prevented my daughter from being obducted who tried to grab her from behind and take her. But the dog was barking crazy and my wife was alerted and was able to scare the guy away. And the second time, Coco scared off two burglars at 3:30 AM, alerted me, and I was ready, understandably. Police came... and the whole thing.

I am looking forward meeting you!

Thomas

Welcome to the forum! That is a beautiful family you have there and you are correct in wanting to learn about firearms to protect your family. I see some self defense training in your near future. :)

Welcome to the Forum from the Oregon Coast, Thomas!!

Nice machines!! I want one!! :D

Thanks for the "NICE MACHINES". At first I thought, what machines... "ahhh" you were referring to the blenders. Well, maybe we can arrange a special price arrangement for the forum. But I didn't want to really bring this up since it is kind of mercentily...And this forum is not about smoothies, although, the are so powerful, and a marine in Iraq got one in February to go back with it to make the troops smoothies. Actually, he said, they are not leaving Iraq until the Iran thing is over. They are building up troops there unbeknown to us. The gov tells us one thing but does something totally opposite. So, the smoothies are cheering up the troops. And in between smoothies, maybe the blender becomes some kind of a torture device.... horrible thought if someone were to put in their fingers...

My time in Iraq would have been a lot more pleasant with a blender like yours!!!! Glad to hear my boys are able to have something to brighten their day! I was eventually going to save up for the "other" brand, but after hearing about their stupid lawsuit, they can piss off. And yours just sounds a whole lot better!

Welcome to the forum! I used to spend a lot of time in SE Utah playing around at Lake Powell. Also did a lot of rock climbing and mountain biking around Moab and all that fun stuff! Take care, and can't wait to learn from you!

gooten aben her omni...sprechen sie deutch?

Ja, ich spreche Deutsch. Bin mit einer Mexikanerin verheirated und sprech auch etwas Spanisch, nach 20 Jahren Ehe. Soll ich Deutschunterricht im Forum beginnen?

For those who don't understand this:

Yes, I speak German. I am married to a mexican and now speak also some Spanish, after 20 years of marriage. Should I begin a German course on the Forum? :s0114:

SIG383: "My time in Iraq would ". Thanks for your reply. I can honestly say I really enjoy what I am doing. It is not perfect, life and work at home. But the commute is great, my office is nice, free catering service (my wife:D), and the customers are always good. ...most of them are also preppers in some form, and gardeners. And the fight with "you know who", it's done. we are growing. I wish it on everyone to be able to work at home. I see my daughter coming home from school...

Lake Powell, I don't go there often. We usually drive through, by the Indian reservation down to Flagstaff and on to Mexico (wife from Hermosillo). We stop in Page over night and have a look at Lake Powell from about 2 miles away. I'd be happy to work something out with you on a blender. Just let me know. I don't want to break any Forum rules... and start a blender forum section within the forum:s0131:

What are you doing now in your post Iraq tour?
