How is this thing supposed to be worn

I can't figure out how this holster is supposed to be worn. Worn on the belt in front on either side, it's wrong handed. Maybe there is supposed to be a strap for some kind of shoulder wear?? Maybe it's supposed to be worn outside in the small of the back, a right handed person could draw that way.

Yes, I just looked into this a bit more. On the back, it's stamped with a horse shoe and "Made In England." With those two details, I was able to determine this is an SOB holster made by Horseshoe Leather. These were personally hand made by the owner, Andy Arratonian. They weren't cheap.

I'm not sold on the SOB holster carry, this one will have to find a new home. I will have to determine if its for a Colt 1911 or a Browning. Very close, probably either will fit but these were made for specific applications.

Interesting design. I could make a copy. I've carried sob before. I made something similar for my High Power long ago. What gun is it supposed to fit?

This one is tailored for a Browning HP. I tried both a Browning and a Colt in it, as close as they are in, say, a GI holster, the Colt won't fit in this Horseshoe holster.

Looks very much like it's fitted for a BHP / P35 judging by the step in the sides about 1 inch from the muzzle. A 1911 would be smooth sided from back of slide to front.

That was the gun I carried SOB. A high power. I don't have one at present.

Yours looks like it's for left hand draw. The small loop is to the left of the opening. PAX
