Started noticing some spread in my groups, even while benched. After speaking with a Smith (and reading this article, The Dirty Little Secret of Gun Cleaning ) I realized that while CLP is great, it's not so good at removing copper fouling.

Tightened those groups right up. Was surprised at how much, and how much fouling there was even in firearms with less than 500 rounds.

Have always used multiple cleaners - always seems one will get what the other missed.

Have always used multiple cleaners - always seems one will get what the other missed.

I've always just used break free CLP, or remoil when I didn't know better.

This stuff is a godsend. Doesn't have the ammonia smell quite as badly as other copper removers either.

I have a small jar of the Black Copper Remover and it does work well... if you let it sit & soak in a bit between patches...
