  1. I have read and accept the classified system rules and terms of service.
Just bought this and am now finding out that holsters are hard to find. Seems that the slide is slightly wider than the standard M&P 2.0 so it doesn't fit properly in holsters for the M&P. You need to jam it in and it's extremely difficult to get back out. Reddit has may comments about what should work, but no actual experience. I'm looking for something that is useable for general range shooting, training and light competition, preferably with some form of decent retention. Not looking for one of those little shorty holsters. I've found one manufacturer, but they don't have one with an optic cut.

I suspect that I'll need to find a holster made for another gun but it's hard to find a gun shop that'll let you open all the packages on the rack to find one that works. Anyone have a solution that they have actually used?

My normal M&P holsters all worked just fine, same for the metal M&P as the 9s, 45 and 10mm that I had. Each company, model or setup could be different of course.

Im a fan of the Blackhawk omnivore
Its been a great solution for oddball gun fits.
They have a TLR, X300, and non light bearing fitments. Level 2 retention with an easy thumb release

Ordered - added a Safariland/Blackhawk adapter.

Thanks. It'll be here tomorrow and I'll be able to use it at the match this coming Saturday.

Curious what the issue with the Omnivore was. Mine have served me well.
Fit with the TLR-1 is sloppy and the gun doesn't go all the way down into the holster. Light is about an inch above the bottom of the holster which makes the gun ride very high in the holster, barely covering the trigger.

Did you ever find what you were looking for? I have an older style paddle owb holster for the m&p 1st 9mm model I could find hiding in a box somewhere...
