Reading the description and the options, all you're buying is a stock vp9a1 with a gray guns trigger and some optics plates. For a premium price. But if it tickles your pickle, I'd vote yes

I'm getting a bug up my hind end to get a Langdon Tactical HK VP9. Anybody have experience with one?

@Bolt_308 could probably advise you. He has experience with a wide range of hk handguns.
Ha- are you saying i might have too many HKs? ;-)

@roseburger, I have 4 VP9s- out of all my guns, it is the one that sits next to my bedside every night. Love the grip- I am a fan of the 'Batman' grip, fits my hands perfectly, and when I go to aim, it is a perfect point/shoot.

I also own 4 different Langdon guns, including a HK P30 with the langdon treatment. I LOVE Langdon- the work they do on their Beretta 92 elites is just insane- My LTT 92 Elite with the full trigger treatment/np3 coating etc is the best trigger out of almost my entire collection. Reset is simply instant.

Having said that- I dont think it is worth it to pay the extra for Langdon to do their work on a VP9. IMO the VP9 trigger is good enough out of the box, that I dont know that I would want/need to pay a bunch just to get it a little better. Of course you can also get VP9s with OEM optic cuts. So IMO there really isnt a need/reason to get one from Langdon.

The Beretta 92, HKP30, USP all have ok triggers, which can be made WAY better by Langdon, so worth it. Also none of those either come optic ready, or have a good optic system. There is a reason Beretta just switched from their crappy OEM optic set up to Langdons now- it is SOOO much better.

So IMO, get a stock Vp9. Then use the money you saved to get a Langdon Beretta 92 Elite. Or just skip the VP9 and get the LTT 92 ;-). I would never tell someone NOT to get a HK, but in this case the LTT 92 beats anything HK offers- not kidding!

I've got three Langdon 92s right now and a USP45T. As a whore if triggers, the USP trigger is marginal at best. I was more intrigued by the long slide version of the VP9, then the Langdon caught my eye.

Copy that! I have the long slide VP9 as my bedside gun. Are your LTT 92s the full trigger treatment with the np3 coating etc? The one I have, the trigger is so freaking smooth, it is my favorite trigger out of the whole collection! Reset is just instantaneous. You even think to start moving your trigger finger out to release the trigger, and CLICK trigger reset! ;-)

Usp trigger is made to survive 1.8 billion drops onto cement. Some of the hk triggers are not great for that reason. Usp is one of them. I've never shot Usp elite or expert so they may be different I don't know.

For me if I was after best trigger I would go for shadow 2 plus some custom job or grand power x-calibur. I have the older version of the X-caliber and it's the best trigger I've shot personally.

X calibur vs shadow 2 with custom trigger:

Another perspective of x-calibur vs others. He liked the beretta best:

For me the little grand power q100 shoots about as well. Not because of trigger though I don't think. Kind of a strange trigger, it surprises you when goes off.

This guy in WA never shot it before and did a competition right out of the box. He won 1 place in limited class and got 2nd in open class. Over 60 shooters and 100 guns in the competition. My experience mirrors his. When shooting fast it's really hard to beat. If you were local I'd let you borrow both grand powers to try them out. You may hate it who knows.

I didn't go NP3 treatment, but the trigger is as good as my previously owned 90s python.

I've got a TS2O Orange as well.

If I was getting it from Langdon I would go for a P30, pick your flavor. But a da/sa hammer fired gun from Ernest just makes sense to me.
