I had one just like this and it was a great shooter, lost it in a burglary or I'd still have it.

They actually were if they were marked US Property. They featured the pistol on American Rifleman last night and that prompted mt question.
 
Francis Gary Powers (pilot shot down in a U2 spy plane over Russia) had one of these on him when captured. This is the central evidence used by the Soviets to "prove" he was on a hostile mission over their airspace. I believe the pistol is still in the Kremlin museum.
