HERA Arms (out of Utah) Does anyone have any experience with them?

I was looking for an 8 "or 9" M-Lok handguard for a short 300 BO, but they were a rare animal to find. Tripped over this site and it just so happened to have a sale going on and so I bit. Win!
But was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.

And I ordered and 20 min later I got an email stating that it had been shipped. Website said 3-5 days. Win!

They do have stuff on clearance too.

My recollection is that some of their stuff is regarded as good quality, but a lot of it is maligned as being "tacticool" kiddie BS despite being decently constructed.

I ordered a quad rail handguard because of their sale too, it'll be my first purchase from them as well. I never tried their parts before because they seemed a bit over-designed to look cool without adding any useful new functionality. But the price is right for a budget range toy, we'll see how it is when it arrives.

Although I'm already annoyed that I got two emails requesting a review less than 24 hours after placing the order. Damn guys, at least let me get it in my hands before spamming review requests.

Lots of companies do that. I just ignore them.
So many places want reviews that I usually don't do them. Buy a 10 rd mag>want a review. I only do them if I get good human customer service.

and only a review about the good human who gave the service. I had a custom thing made, then ordered another one stating in the memo that so-and-so did such a great job, I'd like them to make the second one, too. I got a little thankyou note out if it and my request fulfilled. Hopefully that person got the recognition from management

Had one of their stocks on an AR for a while because it was the least terrible, legally complaint option. Didn't have any serious issues with it, but I was glad to be rid of it when I could. As mentioned above, they lean pretty hard into their "style." If you're into it, go for it.

Good customer service will bring me back to a supplier again. Anyone can make a handguard or any accessory. It goes for anything in life. i.e. I stopped in for a sandwich in a place the other day. Ordered a medium and sat there until i realized that 3 people after got their food B4 me. Just went up and politely asked and the server figured out and remade the sandwich. I'm retired, so I've got time to wait. They quickly remade the sandwich and supersized it for free. Didn't ask for that but appreciated it. We have all made mistakes in our lives and jobs. Its how you go about acknowledging and correcting things. In reverse its how you understand that others make mistakes too. Be magnanimous, it goes a long way.

I was looking for an 8" handguard. More interested in the length than anything

No, just building a short 300 BO and the HG I have is 10". The barrel is 10" and there is not enough room to screw the can down in the FH. The simplest thing is to get a shorter HG.

Now if Congress will just do their part......

To be honest, I own an SBR setup like this in Black. Its generally the preferred AR for people I have taken shooting. Its just comfortable and light and ergonomic.

So after a delivery FU I called and Hera sent me out another HG. It seems solid and looks great! A good deal for $50.99 and will serve my purpose. I'm actually pretty impressed with the CS and the item. Came well packed in w bubble wrap inside a tube and packed in a box.
