More and better pics would be helpful, but it looks like a refinished Colt slide. What did the CMP hang tag say?

Slide is Colt, just can't recall the years it was made based on the roll mark.

I'll have to get my book out and look.

The frame and attaching parts show it's an A1 model...so that would be 1924 and after.

Will be on the road today, I'll check back later, but am sure someone will come along and post the info by then.

Colt, but is it missing the logo in the middle?

Slide is Colt, just can't recall the years it was made based on the roll mark.

It may have been bead blasted off during an arsenal refinish. Everything else around it is very washed out. ????

Charles Clawson 1911 books...very detailed.

Was able to meet and go over the info in the books with both Clawson and Lowell Pauli...who was past president of the Colt Collectors
