I wonder if "Black Powder Percussion Revolvers" will still be allowed to purchase without all the bü||sh!t ?
So far. Couple places have LONG restricted them. They are still so far WAY down on the radar though due to how seldom one is used by the scum. Now one thing a LOT of people get in trouble with is just because Fed law does not restrict the sale of these that does NOT mean states do not regulate them. There is a HUGE difference between buying one and using it. Most if not all states still consider them a firearm. So its not like the state laws do not apply for things like carrying these.

People like you love to ignore that there are other states in this country that have way more loose gun laws. You also love to ignore that people can just travel across state lines really easily. Guess what states are near DC? States like Missiisippi, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky. States with some of the most loose gun laws that on average have some of the highest firearm mortality in the country.
Words like "might have" and "could have potentially", Are not facts. Your list of states ignores the fact that if you remove the data from the 5 cities with the most murder with firearm statistics, the US moves into the bottom 3% of the list of countries you referenced. Your deflection of facts by blaming others for your laws not achieving your desired effect, is a sad response.
Your reference to "people like you", and dismissing the data that doesn't support your position is lazy. Of course you have the special correct information that we all need to acknowledge without question.
Data from the gun violence archive (the preferred data of every town, Gifford, and all other anti 2nd organizations). According to their website murder using a firearm peaked in 2021 and has been declining since. the data for 2024 show a 21.7% decrease from 2021. Coincidentally, 11 states legalized concealed carry without a permit.
Funny that matty206 hasn't posted since March 11th.

Definition of emotion based politics made by lawmakers with malarkey "gender studies" degrees and think they are smarter than us gun owners. Absolute böölsheet.
Our Constitutional Lawbreakers should be required to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that all of the anti-gun law they've already created to remove our rights actually do what they have been intended to before removing any more of our rights.

I'm trying not to violate the forum rules in commenting how disgusted i am. 😡

Another thing people who love to pretend ignore is how a very few people rack up HUGE numbers of the gun crime. Because the blue places have jails with a revolving door. Eliminate those few repeat offenders and the stats would suddenly look like nothing. Instead the same law makers who love the revolving door on the jail are always looking for just one more law that the scum will just ignore.

Indeed.

Eliminate those few.

What are the top 5 cities with the highest gun violence rates in the U.S.?
Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, Memphis, and St. Louis have consistently been ranked among the top cities with the highest rates of gun violence. All these cities are democrat! The democrat run cities are responsible for over 86% of shootings in the USA. And they have the strictest gun laws in the country. Numbers don't lie.
Hmmm.
What else do those cities have in common??

I can't quite put my finger on it.

Yeah, no; as a former Detroiter, born and bred, gotta object a little here. Current mayor, Duggan, is a former moderate Dem who's gonna run for state governor as an Independant. Michigan is pretty much a purple state that went for Trump in the last election. Also, Michigan is a shall-issue state with moderate gun laws (compared to Washington and Oregon) and the gun laws in Detroit don't even compare with the "strictest gun laws in the country," Don't know where you're getting your "numbers."

@21tango, apparently you attempted to quote me and injected your own commentary into my post, so I can't even reply or quote you.

And thanks for calling me "youngster." My point was, and is, that whether or not a big city has a Democrat mayor, it normally has zip to do with the crime rate or the gun laws. I grew up there, own property there, and spend much of the year back there, so I know whereof I speak. The Washington gun laws are fixing to be far more onerous than Michigan's gun laws. Anyhoo, check your statistics as to what major municipalities in the U.S. suffer the most "gun violence." According to Everytown, Detroit is not even in the top 10.

The article i referenced was titled "the top 5 cities for gun violence" Detroit was number 3. If you google top cities for gun violence you will find Detroit near the top. I have a lot of good friends from Michigan and served with a few. I have nothing against the state but Everything i find statistically points at Detroit being a very violent city. "Detroit — With assaults, shootings and homicides on the rise across the country, Detroit continued last year to be among the most violent big cities in America, according to FBI statistics released Monday"
