This reads much the same as already existing rules for allowing foreign nationals to join the US military...very similar requirements.

At best ....I could see this as a way to help with the process of becoming an American citizen.
At worst...I could see someone using the skills and knowledge gained against the US or US citizens.


I do not like the idea of foreign nationals , even if they fulfill the existing requirements such as being Green Card holders and passing a language test becoming law enforcement or enlisting in our military.

At least in the military (Army and Marines in particular) everyone else is typically armed and an active armed insurgent wouldn't last too long... in an LEO position "lording" over a largely (and typically) unarmed populace is an entirely different matter.

It's also ironic how the left is the party of lawlessness, so much so that they have fought to make many crimes de facto legal, while suddenly having foreign nationals uphold the law. While the left might portray this as a way for the state to address policing shortages, it really proves just how little they fight for you — the American people — while they put the interests of foreign nationals first. But what else is new?
Maybe one day state officials will fight for you in the way they do for foreigners to obtain law enforcement privileges, but don't hold your breath, as they have proven time and again how little they respect the law.

Thanks for posting, first that I have heard of this news. I love Washington and have no plans to leave but dang, they are not even trying to hide their evil agenda anymore. The saddest part is they just keep getting away with it, while taking and wasting so much more of our money on their pipe dreams of taking from those that have paid taxes for decades to give to the people that just showed up. I have voted in every primary. Eventually we will have had enough. That's why they think they will need cops and prosecutors that have not experienced what it used to be like to live here, before ideology replaced common sense in Olympia. IMHO.
