I am building a 12.5. my only recommendation would be to get a 12.5 mid barrel if you are going to run it suppressed.

Shot my 8.5" .308 today. So fun. Roller delayed makes a big difference in felt recoil though. I just use a witt machine suppressor to take the edge off but I might order a full length suppressor someday.

12.5" recoil is about the same as 300 BLK and 8.5" is just a bit more. But again that's roller delayed.

I have a complete Aero AR10 never assembled if anyone wants one. 12.5" and 16" barrels. Boron nitride bcg, enhanced buffer.

FYI comparison of 12.5" .308 energy levels vs 7.62x 39, 300 BLK, and 5.56. .308 pretty powerful even at 12.5" (1825 fpe). Lot of power in small package. I keep one mag of barrier penetrators with the guns just in case.


Short barrelled AR10 with FRT trigger would be interesting.
