Do you pet/touch them too? What is over the top?

I like Hard Boiled Eggs.

It's an easy breakfast; a hardboiled egg and piece of toast.

Protein is always good, as @arakboss will attest.

However, recently I have noticed that when I try to peel the shell off of some eggs, the shell does not separate easily.

I have experimented with boiling times. The optimal boiling time that I have come across is ten minutes.

Still, within the same batch of eggs I will notice some are easily peelable, while others are not.

It presents a conundrum to me.

Greatly appreciate any insight others may have to share on this issue.
Steam them the shell comes off easy. Or when boiling them add baking soda. Iy does help

Cook your hard boiled eggs in a Instapot. Takes like 5 minutes, and they ALWAYS peel off so very easily. I have no idea why the steam/pressure works for it, but it is AMAZING- shell comes of almost in one piece, egg slides right out! I eat at least two eggs every day, and have made countless hard boiled in the Instapot. Just recently switched to a good cast iron for fried eggs, and have that baby nicely seasoned now so they just slide right out, ZERO stick . . .
Came here to say exactly this! Instapot is the ONLY way to do it, in my opinion. I do something called "5-5-5"...I pour about a cup of water in the bottom of the pot and put that little stand in therethen load it up with eggs, put the lid on and put it on high pressure cook for 5 minutes. After it's done, I turn it off BUT DO NOT RELEASE THE STEAM...let it vent naturally for 5 more minutes. Once that's done, then you can vent whatever's left and then take the whole pot out and put it in the sink and fill it with cold water. I also put as much ice in there as will fit and let them sit for--you guessed it! 5 minutes! 5-5-5! Perfect eggs every single time!

Wife just made another batch of potato salad that I always eat WAY too much of. :s0140:
She had ruined her Instapot and ordered another. So I made the eggs. Just used the steel inner pot on the stove. Opened a dozen or so eggs into a glass dish. Couple inches of water in the pot, glass dish lowed into pot with a net looking thing for cooking chicken in the Insta. Let simmer for a while with lid on till eggs were cooked. They drop right out, no peeling. SUPER easy. Too easy really as I eat way too much of that potato salad when she makes it. :s0140:
