I have a gen 3 Glock 19, and I love it, buuutt… I think I want something a bit more compact. I've tried a 45x and 48 and liked those. Curious what others recommend, especially for someone with hands on the smaller side.

I don't have small hands, but I like guns with smaller grips.
I have a Sig P365 with the 12 round mags and really like the grip shape and angle. It's more like a 1911 than a Glock in angle, which suits me, but it's an easy adjustment.
With the 10 round mags (first pic) the grip is really stubby, but with the 12 round mag (second pic) I can get all of my fingers on the gun securely.

I had a couple of shoulder surgery's and needed a gun I could shoot one handed. I bought a 642 J frame. It has become the gun I can carry all day every day. It rides in my jeans pocket and is so easy to carry I never went back to carrying a semi auto.
I had carried a few micro compact semis before , but this one has just blended into my style so well I just never changed back.
In a full firing grip, the shape of the gun blends with the hand to make it easy to draw from a pocket like no other semi ever did.
In reality its about the size of a glock 19, but the shape makes it a great pocket gun. DR

As others have mentioned, Sig P365, in either the regular, X, or Macro flavor depending upon how long you want the grip and how many rounds you want to carry. I pretty much either own or have owned most all compact guns out there, and P365X is the gun that is with me every second I am outside of the house. . .

My main CC is a P365, It is the first model 365 that Sig made, I have very large hands but yet it fits , points, and shoots well for me.
its a little snappy for many rounds use, so I use my 45 1911 at the range for a softer kick.
The little Glock 26 I had was just OK, CC wise, but I really didn't like the trigger.

As others said above p365 is a good choice for a striker fired small gun. P938 is another for hammer fired.

If we are including hammer fired then I will add the Smith & Wesson CSX E-series. I recently switched over to that after years of P365 carry.

For my "smaller than a G19 guns" I've got a G26 and a G43, neither of which sees as much use a my G19s.

Agreed with the above recommendation for the P365. I also have one with the Xmacro Comp and a regular XL slide outfitted with a Parker Mountain Machine barrel and comp.

Agree with the 365 recommendations. I edc the AXG Legion, and have an XMacro as backup (have since changed it to a metal AXG frame), wife carries the Rose 365XL, we both have standard 365's and I have a 365 SAS for occasional pocket carry.
