H&R Pardner 12g pump

Anyone have any experience with these shotguns? I have read some about them and everyone says that they are clones of a Remington 870, and that all accessories are compatible except for the barrels. I am looking into them but would like to hear from someone who has firsthand experience with them. I am looking at the 18.5" 5 shot model for my mother as a cheap home defense gun.

they are awesome shotguns. I've owned 3 and currently own 2.
all you need for the Remington 870 barrels to fit is a sleeve and shim.
any other specific questions just ask. Great firearm for the money

I liked both H&R and Marlin in the past but I am skeptical of them since they were purchased by Remington.
