Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I'm looking to sell a rifle on gunbroker but I can't take credit cards, and stuff doesn't sell as good on there without that. I am wondering if there's someone local who consigns stuff on there?
I've wondered about that before. And I'm sure the ability to take credit cards may influence some buyers. In my own case, I've been very successful in selling on GB without taking payment by CC. For firearms, it's USPS Money Order only. Components or ammo, it's USPS Money Order or maybe PayPal if requested. Once in a while I take a personal check from some old timer such as myself. I have 142 feedbacks, all A+, some glowing, so that may help convince people I'm not a flake.
One time I did have a guy commit to buying a .45 automatic, then immediately tell me he wouldn't be following though with payment. He was a first time GB buyer, hadn't read the details in the listing, and wouldn't buy anything that wasn't charged to a CC. I went through the noise with the non-paying bidder process, and in the meantime, the gun sold at a gun show.
