One of the more hilarious sagas is the .40 S﹠W, even ignoring the drama of the 10㎜ Auto leading up to its creation. There was a time the cartridge was loudly touted as the be all, end all answer to handgun cartridges, and we could finally dispense with this silly 9㎜ vs .45 argument. Now it appears slightly more popular than Herpes. There's at least one vendor that priced police surplus Glock 22s a full c-note less than Glock 17s of the same vintage.

Great thing is the 22 and 17 use the same frame and most internals. So you can build a 17 dirt cheap off a 22 frame. That's what I did. Police trade in G22s for under $200.

We see changes in trends because someone challenges the accepted norms, tries something different, and it works for them, so they show it to other people and soon folks jump on the bandwagon. There are a million ways to shoot and a million ways to use accessories and gear. I like hearing about different options, but I like hearing more about WHY a person thinks this or that is better. With that information I can consider the position, compare the options, try them out, and decide for myself what path makes the most sense.

Thread crap much? It is an observation of gun trends, no one asked for your advice, i.e. you telling people what to do or not do. Always gotta be at least one,. That is also a trend over time lol.

Many of the top pro shooters are on youtube offering actual useful shooting technique advice for free. Sure wish that was available back when I learned to shoot before computers and the internet.

Everyone has an observation that might add to the learning of such topic . One person's interest could be a meh to someone else .
