Great thing is the 22 and 17 use the same frame and most internals. So you can build a 17 dirt cheap off a 22 frame. That's what I did. Police trade in G22s for under $200.One of the more hilarious sagas is the .40 S﹠W, even ignoring the drama of the 10㎜ Auto leading up to its creation. There was a time the cartridge was loudly touted as the be all, end all answer to handgun cartridges, and we could finally dispense with this silly 9㎜ vs .45 argument. Now it appears slightly more popular than Herpes. There's at least one vendor that priced police surplus Glock 22s a full c-note less than Glock 17s of the same vintage.
.40 sucks. My opinion of course.
