Can you see his messages and who he was talking with? Maybe someone knows him or knew him. I haven't been active on arfcom for years, but I'm still around.

Yeah that's a hard one then. I lucked out in a situation where I had sold my father's service revolver because I was a starving student trying to get through college. After I graduated and started to make a little money, I was able to track down the buyer on arfcom, who didn't respond till after a month or two later. I asked him if he would be willing to sell the revolver back. He said he was retiring and that he just wanted 15% over what I had sold it to him for, which of course I jumped on. That's what caught my eye when I saw your original post, not that that is why you're trying to contact the seller.
