Did you miss the part about Ranked Choice Voting being on the ballot? That is the perfect example of herds of sheep pushing the shepherds over the cliff. RCV results in a populast victory and an end to the two party system.
I was only looking at whether there were any other gun grabbing measures from Rev Nutters on the ballot. I will let the sophisticates worry about the other stuff.

That 'other stuff' is what leads to a legislature that will strip your rights PDQ and you will not have a chance to say no. Ranked choice voting will be the real death of 'democracy', not Trump as those who push RCV would claim.

Im just a simple redneck…could you explain how? But you know, in simple redneck terms…

Easy.

2 candidates running

You vote who u want as #1, and by default, #2 is the other guy.

If enough people vote for the other guy as #1, even if theres a majority of your guy for #1; because the other guy is also #2; that guy gets the majority of electoral votes.

What's the vote on Measure 115 to 119 ?
115 has potential but I dont trust it wont be abused so long as Democrats hold the majority in Oregon. IMO the rest are bad and RCV will be the death of democracy and our gun rights... yes, it has a connection to gun rights.

FWIW heres one pro gun lawyers opinion on Oregons measures this election:

Hopefully not too late to the party since this is an older thread but here is a really simple explanation of Ranked Choice Voting....

Voted no on all the ballot initiatives.

We'll see. There's this WA based progressive analysis group who thinks that the ballot initiatives will pass, and that all the D candidates will win in Oregon.
The same as every other time we get to "have a say"

My "say" just isn't the correct one most of the time, I guess

I might vote yes on the 115. On my understanding this is no different from someone that needs to get fired if he can't do his job. Its driving me nuts to think about someone going to work with both feet up in their desk while others are putting themselves on the line just to make things better.

We the voters technically have the power to initiate recall elections on elected officials. Not the Legislature itself. Why give them the power to remove who they think should be removed, away from we the voters who does.?
