I highly doubt they are replacing the P320. But it sure would be cool if they did. Dreams.

With that said I'm sure they are supplying a ton of LE and .gov agencies who a dropping the P320.

Glad I got mine. 43x COA Blue label.

I'm hoping the Blue Label guns continue to be shipped?
I was thinking a 19 COA might be nice.

Sorry 1775usmc. I just read the origonal piece and it did not say police. Just military
I watched this video earlier and thought he inferred Police also.

My wife is right. I should pay better attention.
All good. Blue label is still marketed to civilians. It just your credentials that qualify you to buy from the program. Either active or retired. From the sounds of it the Glock/COA is being held from retail sales and is specifically going to be produced for contracts for an undetermined amount of time. So basically what's out in the market now is all that is available. Once they run out the secondary market will be the only place we will be able to purchase. Unless the COA becomes available standalone from Aimpoint and you'll have to get a slide milled to accept it…..

Time will tell.

Yes. Time will tell.
And hopefully they will be available again soon.

I sure like mine. And believe others will to. If they can only get there hands on one.
And the blue label price is crazy!

Yea it's a great deal package wise. If my Glocks didn't have P2s already I definitely would have bought one. $800 for a G19/milled slide/Aimpoint is a crazy good price. And I think the 43X/48 is even less.

Ya. as I already posted in another thread.

Bought a 43x COA. Blue label price was $685
So if the optic is $600 I got the Gun for $85 plus $10 background check.

I really should try for a 19 COA.
Who knows I may just slide in under the wire?

You'll have to find one locally I think. Or in stock somewhere. They cancelled all pending orders I believe. Not sure if that's true or not though.

Is it just me?

Yeah.....I hate "optics" mounted on a pistol's slide. IMHO, it makes little to no sense. I mean, in most cases, the "sidearm" is supposed to be used to defend one's self (in a sort of last-ditch defense). Otherwise, carry a rifle.

Of course......Uniformed Police (and undercover) are another story.

Yup......without even mentioning the added cost involved and bulk.

Aloha, Mark

PS.....if the military is buying without the optic......well, as a TAXPAYER I'd have less apprehension over the deal.

Also....
LOL...Glock pistols?

Considering the firearms knowledge (or lack of) of the average recruit. Yeah....there is that too.

Aloha, Mark

Why would it be beneficial for LE and Military but not for civilians?

I didn't exactly say that optics on a handgun would be beneficial to the average LEO or the military. Sure....there will be a "special occasion(s)".

But perhaps.....I should have been clearer on that issue?

When you pay for your own stuff.....you can certainly do what you want to do. After all, it's your money.

OK, Ok, ok..... nowadays (in most large Depts) individual police officers don't pay for their own handguns. But even in smaller Depts requiring a private purchase.....the Dept will more than likely at least spell out which firearms (and calibers) will be acceptable for use. And....there will perhaps be extra rules (re: modifications, accessories, etc... etc.....).

Aloha, Mark
