What if you swap recoil springs and back plates? Then does it work? Or are the back plates different like the "Gen V" nonsense.
Backplates on Gen 6 are the same as V, different from Gen 5. Can't change recoil springs with current equipment. Gen 6 appears to use a Gen 3 19 spring system.

Addendum, if I were to remove the back plate and spring from the 47 slide, it does fit and reciprocate on the Gen 6 frame. Barrel locks and unlocks. So I'm confident there will be conversion kits for people who care.

Here's a sad day. Cracking a $1200 dollar salient slide that's no longer available for purchase. Happy Saturday to me!

Trash can here I come. lol.

Trying to press out the rear sight in a sight pusher. Let's just say the rails let out way before the rear irons. lol. Those tolerances were crazy tight.

Not sure how I feel about using it at all now. So I bought a Noveske slide to replace it.
Would you just try to be normal for a few days and buy OEM, please?

So I have to send it out to have it milled. No way. lol. The internals are OEM. And my mom told me it's it's what is on the inside the really matters.

Plus they were on sale. Lol.

To be fair my slides always start out OEM. lol.
