I reckon it depends on whose booty it is as to how good or bad that would be...

Wow. Glock V lasted a whole what, 3 days? Lol

Not only does Glock make a mighty fine pistol, but apparently, they are mighty fine at selling their guns too, got their Marketing perk MAXXED OUT. You all know people ate up those previous generation's like they were candy after they announced that they were discontinuing them. Gotta clear out the whole inventory before bringing in something new. Nice. Well played Glock, well played. 😎

For anyone that gives a crap, the patent document reads in part the following:

"In particular, it can be provided that a grip surface on which a user holds the handgun is largely formed on the lower receiver portion. In this way, the exchangeable lower receiver portion can be adapted well to the corresponding user, in particular to the shape and size of his hand. As a result, the handling or the ergonomics of the handgun can be improved"

With respect to the "exchangeable" part the Gen 6 appears to be built on an upper/lower receiver concept, it won't use backstraps, but exchangeable lower receivers of different sizes.

This drawing shows the concept a bit better

Item 14 is described as the "Locking element" which seems to be the "joining" mechanism between the upper receiver and the lower receiver.

Is that a feature of the Gen 6? I haven't seen anything about that in all the reviews/specs….

Personally I think that would be pretty gimmicky but who knows.

The second piece (fig 9) looks like a wedge between the magwell and the backstrap. Like changing it would modify the angle of the backstrap?
