I've got a Blackhawk that I've used in IDPA that works with my 23 and 35 but the 24 sticks quite a ways out the bottom. It rides pretty high and it's a bit of a struggle to get the gun out smoothly. It's amazing what a difference that extra 1/2" of length makes! I'd like to find something that is USPSA legal that will hold the gun a little lower and out a bit. I've looked at the Black Scorpion Pro Competition holster but I'm not sure it will work with the 24.
Any ideas?

Which Blackhawk holster? Could you get one of the drop down UBL attachments from Safariland and make that work? Dropping the holster lower and allowing you to clear the holster faster? Just an idea.

It's one of the SERPA holsters that doesn't have the retention button.
The ones with the button are actually my preferred holsters but because there are idjits out there that can't keep there finger where it belongs on the draw I don't use it at the range. It ain't worth having a nervous nelly gettin' his knickers twisted! The CQC is the holster I use for EDC.

Not sure how a negligent discharge on a draw could injure someone else at a range, so I don't understand why someone else would be a nervous nelly with your holster choice.

Seems wise to use what you carry at a range...

It does, but they don't like the SERPA CQC's at that range, so I respect their wishes and use one that is almost identical but doesn't have the push button.
