Just thought I would post this as a PSA to you all out there. I had long considered getting my Trapper education done, but previously you were required to go to one of a handful of in person courses that always seemed to be full or at time I had other commitments. With Covid WA DFW is now allowing the home study option with an all online test. I had been home studying for awhile as I planned on "challenging" the exam as the education aspect was the barrier before.
So steps are:
1. Home Study, don't cheat, seriously yes you could easily enough as the test is not proctored, but doing so only harms yourself and fellow trappers
2. Take the test at Washington State Trapper Education Student Examination
3. Wait a few days and Kris Thorson will email you over your completion card, and attach to your WILD ID if you have one set up online.
4. Buy your license online, and get trappin!
Season starts in a few days, good luck to all!
