Washington didn't tell Marine General he was being replaced

Another Obama tactic of "go along blindly or else!" General Mattis was one of the best warfighters our county had. His early retirement will be paid in the blood of US troops. I've never met a General I respected more than Mattis.

This is just another outrageous move from our traitor in chief. Every Marine should be outraged at losing one of the best Marine Corps leaders in our history. He is truly a warrior in every sense of the word.

It seems that the countrys military is being gleaned for the excepted/expected new correct method of thought and principles. I find this alarming, and very telling.

Reminds me of what a certain leader did to his military during the 30s....then when the invasion started, his army suffered...what was his name? Joseph somebody...

IMHO, Mad Dog probably protested against the new "women in combat" too...for the final straw....even though you will never officially hear that.

One of the few general officers that was worth a bubblegum. Sad.

It is worrisome that he is getting canned.

But look at the brightside. It just means he can run for President in 2016.

Just sayin about Marines..some of the most true blue friends I have, Are former Marines. And yes years may pass without contact and then with contact again.... it as if a few days have expelled between contact not years. for nothing has changed.. just gotten older..for when you are in you are in as a friend you are in for life...just got a call... tomorrows lunch with a Marine friend of 40+ years. Sweet.

Anything above about 0-5 level in the military is a political assignment. War fighting and leadership ability may have gotten you there but thats not what gets you past that level.

Who knows what really happened but time and again, military leadership expressing a political view differing from the 'official' position, don't last too long.

That's not particually a bad thing, countries where the militay is involved in politics tend to have more episodes of coup d'état's and revolution.
