I had a full beard when I was married. Soon after, my wife requested that I shave off the beard. I did, but kept the moustache. Somewhat later, she suggested that I shave off the moustache, and I replied "you really don't want me to do that" and showed her a photo of me clean shaven. She replied, "Keep the moustache" and that was over 25 years ago.
