This is an early post war Fabrique Nationale hunting rifle. The FN MAUSER SPORTER DE LUXE was available in the U.S between 1947 and 1963 in popular American and European calibers. This classic rifle is chambered in .257 Roberts. FN Belgium proof marks on action and 20 inch chrome vanadium steel barrel. Beautiful tiger striped figured Walnut Monte Carlo stock. The receiver is factory drilled for the Lyman type peep sight. The action and barrel stamped FN This is one high quality rifle that is easily in excellent 98% condition.
Nice set of older rings and bases, sorry no scope.
Bluing is perfect overall.
I ran the bore scope in the barrel and it has been fired very little. Zero Erosion wear.
I inspected and test fired and it works perfect.
I couldn't build this rifle for the asking price.

What a beautiful rifle in a wonderful cartridge. Some one will get lucky with this one. My money is going into fixing my kubota or this would be mine.
