FN patrol bolt rifle (PBR) is Winchester Model 70 style action and it would be stamped right on the left side of the barrel. I certainly wouldn't be selling an FN patrol or service rifle from FN for that price. Also most F&N PBR's came factory with a Hogue stock.

I think this is a Sporter. I would've bought it if ir were a pbr

This rifle probably started life as either a Mauser Model 1893 or Model 1895...
Then at some point...converted to .308 and "sporterized."

Don't need to...owned one once.
If that is what this is....difficult to tell from the pictures...then this is a fine rifle.

That's a good assumption, either way whomever bought it under the pretense that it was an FN Herstal got taken, still a .308 bolt gun for this price is still a bargain so long as the action and riflings are still good. I'll find and take photos of mine this weekend for a comparison.
