Yes...wait till you are 21 and legal to buy a handgun.
Until then a shotgun or rifle will work for home protection....buy one of those.

As a reminder ....all firearm transactions conducted through NWFA must abide by Local , State and Federal Firearm laws.

In the free world he is legal to buy a handgun, just not from an FFL dealer. Private party sales to 18+ is legal out there.

However...he is asking here on NWFA for handguns to buy...from members here on site....which may not be legal.
In any event....NWFA and its membership mostly ain't in the "Free World".

Handguns are for those that know how to shoot. No one knows this kids background.

My advise for you would be to find someone local and learn from a local gun club.
Older men, family, someone can help you.

My advice, buy a rifle, learn how to shoot. Once you master that, then go into handguns.
