So. A long while back, I picked up a heavily damaged Field pack Large with Internal frame, aka CFP-90... I decided to convert it to fit onto a 27" Coleman Peak 1 frame like the LBT 1477B described here https://ovinnovations.com/pages/pack-files-lbt-1477b.

First, I removed the original back panel, and removed the crumbled rubberized plastic bits off the shoulder straps, then I attached the original radio pocket back onto a new 500D Cordura panel in Camo Green, and attached 4 new frame attachment tabs, as well as relocating a couple of the ladder locks for the frame corners. Then I sewed the new back panel to the 4 edges of the pack, and reattached the lid. I added frame tabs to the shoulder straps, and utilized the MOLLE II woodland belt onto the 27" frame. This was done June 2021. Last night, I encased the exposed seams on the back panel and ruck panels with Camo Green grosgrain binding tape, now I am confident that the seams will not blow out without someone doing something stupid :s0064: this makes 3 different modified USGI rucksacks I now have.
